[Snowdrift] Just to See You Again « Thread Started on Sept 8, 2008, 6:02pm »
Rancor looked around with narrowed eyes. The large white wolf hated to admit it but he wanted to see that she-wolf again. He didn't know why, he never wanted to see anyone again, at least, not usually. He pawed at the cold grass, watching his claws pull it from the half frozen earth. There wasn't snow on the ground, but it was late enough in the autumn for the leaves to almost all be gone. He hardly noticed the freezing wind that was blowing around, his pelt was plenty thick enough to keep such chills away from him. It did sting his eyes a bit but the large wolf hardly cared. He looked around, scenting the air. He doubted he would even see her around here, but something made him want to keep searching.

Snowdrift padded through the snow, rolling in it and also burying her nose as well. She padded to her den where she fell through, no new scents just hers. Snowdrift poked her nose out of the den and sniffed, another wolf was on the snow grounds. She carefully picked herself out and trotted across the ice and snows. Snowdrift padded across the Taiga, looking around and wanting to see who scent it was. It was defentially brute, familiar, too familiar in that fact. Snowdrift stopped, sitting and looking around, hoping to eye another wolf in this snow. It was hard because the brute must be white and Snowdrift kept thinking why it was so familiar, she met wolves every day but never saw them again, only if they went looking for her.

Rancor heard the subtle crunch of snow like a wolf playing. He looked around, his eyes trying to see the form of another wolf outlined egainst the white. He could just make out a wolf, she was white and the scent that carried across to him was familiar. It must have been Snowdrift. He wasn't sure if he should go over to her. After all he wasn't a very sociable wolf and he would normally never go to seek out the company of another. Yet, there was something about Snowdrift that made the large brute want to go over and see her. He turned to the side a bit so that she would be able to see his black paw is she was looking for him too. If she wanted to talk he decided, then she could come over here herself.
